MME Wild Asparagus papers which the lovely Rozzy from Trimcraft sent to me.
WOJ stamped image coloured in using Promarkers

Sketch card
Hi all
Here is a card I made for a sketch challenge over on Trimcraft - BUT I was too late to enter it hahaha just typical of my week that! Anyway, loved using the sketch anyway and needed to make a card for my next door neighbour who has just had a knee op.
I am entering it into other challenges (which I hope I am not too late for)
C.R.A.F.T blog is no backing paper, thought this would be harder than it actually was, just made me think a bit harder!

Friday Sketcher and WOJ challenge
I have always been a night owl but this is a ridiculous time to be up when I have to get up sooo early for work tomorrow! The buses are on strike (grrrr) which means that I will have to get my older boys to secondary school after dropping the younger 2 off at breakfast club, then on to do a full days work, I can feel the bags straining under my eyes now LOL!
Here is a card again using orange and teal, the colours for WOJ challenge this week, layout is a sketch from Friday Sketchers challenge.
I prefer the darker tones on this card than the card I made earlier, well yesterday now!

Yet another challenge card and some luck came my way!!
Hi all
Well after having a rough few weeks life has a funny way of turning around... I came home from work today to find out I won yesterdays Blog Candy from the lovely Jude at Crafts International, it is a large square Woodware punch.... whoo hoo how lucky am I??
Pop on over to to Judes blog to find out more about her fundraising for Alzheimer's (click the blinkie on my sidebar to take you to the post.
On to the card....
This card was made for the Stampin' for the Weekend challenge which was to use orange, teal and pink.
Not sure if I really like the outcome, I think it is a bit bright and busy for my taste, but hey ho time is not on my side AGAIN!! So I will have to live with it. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday I had decided to submit a different card for the DT call but time was not my friend this weekend!! Oh well, wish me luck -)
2 Redbananas challenge this week is "Stripes and Dots", don't they look FAB together!
I used:
Whiff of Joy stamp coloured with Pro Markers
Free backing papers from a magazine
Ribbon and ric rac from stash
Sentiment stamp again free with a magazine

I have made this card for a couple of challenges, Lee-anne from Trimcraft sketch and the Basic Grey inspirational picture challage and A Spoonful of Sugar "distressing" now as I am not really a ripped paper sort of gal I opted for the using inks for the distressed look LOL! The papers are MME from the Roam and Classic collections.
Flower stamp is Basic Grey Insignia, stamped using Versamark watermark and coloured with chalks.
Flowers are Mulberry Street by Petaloo, punched flowers and Just Pots Funky Flowers. The pearl beads were coloured with the lemon Pro Marker.
Sentiment and swirl are Studio G clear stamps.
Thanks for looking!

Eid Card
Hi all
It has been a while since I got chance to make a card :-( but I am onto making my Eid cards at the moment - left it late really as Eid is on 21st September... better get cracking!
Here is one I have made, for the shape I used the "Rocking the Kasbah" template from Craft Stamper magazine, the medallion stamp is from Basic Grey, used a border stamp stamped in gold, the card stock has a "linen" texture and I swiped Distress ink over it, the Eid Mubarak sentiment I wrote using an embossing pen and heat embossed in bronze.

Bizzy Becs Creatalicious sketch
Here is my card for the sketch DT challenge at Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Blog
The photo is a bit rubbish as the lighting in my house at night is not great for photography!!
The papers were from a RAK, WOJ stamp, flowers from stash, the sunflower one at the top left is the middle of a silk flower (which I dismantled) from a local garden centre! Image coloured in using pro markers and the stamp is Basic Grey.
The sketch was lovely to work with and one I will almost certainly use again:

The Crafty Pad sketch challenge card
Hi all
Here is my entry for the sketch challenge on The Crafty Pad following the sketch I posted about on 2nd August. I have turned the sketch and instead of adding a separate snetiment have put it on my stamped image (hope this is OK as she was a little bit too tall for the sentiment to go underneath!) The stamp is from WOJ (coloured in using my new promarkers and using Bristol Board which is the only card I have used so far which doesn't bleed at all), papers are DCWV Floral prints, lace I won in a recent sketch challenge from Tracey AKA Lalkygirl as is the flower, brads from stash!

Birthday card - change of style for this one!
Hi all
I was asked by a colleague to make a birthday card for her sister, I always ask what they like etc and was told "include the words "miss you lots", nothing too girly or flowery and no cute images" one tall order for me that! This is not my usual style but I quite enjoyed making it.
This is what I came up with, my colleague was really pleased with it as her sisters fave colours are red and black, phew!
and the inside...
I rarely use peel offs but as I was told she likes Champagne I had some peel offs which fit the bill. I coloured in the "champagne" and then used clear heat embossing all over the "cut out" parts.
Funny this was when I gave the card to my colleague she said it is lovely but do you kno the "happy birthday" is upside down, I thought thats impossible I am a bit dense sometmes but surely I couldn't do something like that hahaha.... well no I hadn't she was holding the card on its side (portrait)!!!!!!

Another teacher thank you card
Hi all
Here is the second teacher thank you card, this time it is for my daughters teacher Mrs Saeed who my daughter describes as "dresses fancy" LOL! She is a lovely teacher and my daughter has really come out of her shell whilst under the guidance of Mrs Saeed!
I also decorated the inside and adapted a teacher poem to incorporate the teachers "self confessed love of bling" LOL!!!
The backing papers were free with a craft magazine, orange polka dot ribbon papermania, Magnolia Tilda with slate stamped image coloured with pro markers and whispers pens, green ribbon reused from Lush gift wrapped packaging, prima flowers, "rose", sentiment and everything else from my ever growing stash!!! Oh, almost forgot nestabilities frames 1 and scalloped circle.
I am entering this card into a few challenges this week:
Trimcraft - Sketch challenge
Trimcraft weekly challenge - Recycled (reused ribbon from a package from Lush)
Just Magnolia - Buttons
Pile it On - Mostly orange and combine with at least one other challenge
Allsorts challenge blog - one of anything
2 red bananas - "Reduce, Recycle and Reuse" (again I reused the green ribbon from a bath bomb gift wrapped package from Lush - the ribbon still smells all yummy LOL)
365 cards - You raise me up!

Quick card!
Hi all
Managed to get a quick card done today after work and before the kids came home! This is a Pink Petticoat image which I received in a swap, Swiss dots embossing folder and magazine freebies for the flower ribbon and backing papers. The image I coloured with Whispers and water colour pencil and highlighted with Glamour Dust for a bit of sparkle.

Thank you card for my sons teacher
Hi all
Mixed weather today, started off lovely and sunny, then as soon as my washing was nearly dry the heavens opened! Now though it is hot and sunny again.... I can't keep up with it!
I have made this card following another sketch by Lee-Ann on Trimcraft.
Not sure what I did before I was introduced to working from sketches though as they make life so much easier when planning layouts.
I used the PC to create the backing paper text and coloured the text in using pencils and Whispers pens. When I had put the backing paper on the card my son kindly pointed out that I had missed number 5 off the bottom row... wonder if Mrs Pyke will notice! Whiff of Joy Oakley stamp was used and coloured in using watercolour pencils, usually he is holding a wooden plaque but today I made it into a blackboard, embellishments are die cut, ribbon another freebie from a magazine!
I am also entering it into the Whiff of Joy Challenge which is 3 patterned papers, 3 flowers and 1 ribbon, although I replaced the flowers with apples, I hope this is ok. If not I enjoyed making it anyway!
Thanks for looking and I welcome your comments.

Sketch challenge card
I have been busy today as I had 2 of my nephews as well as my own 4 kids! Still when they went out with my husband and my nephews went home me and my daughter had some crafting time which was great!
I had entered Lee-Anns layout challenge over at Trimcraft I had forgotten to make the card until I got a gentle nudge and reminder from Lee-ann hahaha. I made this card in no more than half an hour and the glue was still wet when I took the photo LOL!!!
I find it really fun to follow a sketch and to see everyone elses interpretation on the same sketch!
The card is using free backing paper, DCWV (Nana's Nursery) green polka dots and strawberry cardstock, Whiff of Joy stamp and sentiment, punched daisy from the polka dot cardstock.
Thanks for looking, I am really pleased to 1) be able to make a card in such a short amount of time as I usually faff about with papers, flowers etc that I discover in my stash LOL and 2) that although it was rushed it actually turned out OK!!

Fathers Day card
Here is the card I made for my Dad for Fathers day, he loves fly fishing so this will really appeal to him (I hope). I had wanted the stamps happen its only a game (frustrated golfer) stamp for his card but it was either out of stock everywhere or REALLY pricey for something I would probably only use once.
Anyway the stamp I used is "Best Fishes" by Sugar nellie, the papers were free with a card making magazine, I used Bazzil cardstock and embossed it with the swirls cuttlebug folder.
I decorated the inside with the same free fishes paper and frames 1 nestabilities distressed with Tim Holtz distressing ink in frayed burlap. I have started decorating the inside and find this is a great way of using up all those scrap bits of offcuts!!

Sons friends 13th birthday card
Hi again
Kids, who'd av em?? My 2nd eldest was getting ready for bed last night and announced that he'd forgotten to ask me to make a card for his friend Frank who is 13 today!!! Talk about short notice so I said "can't we just buy him a card?" to which he looked horrified and said but Mum please make him one as yours are so much better and all my mates talk about them LOL!!!
Frank is onto Basketball so here is the card I came up with for him.
The detail of the embossing hasn't shown up on the image though. I put clear embossing powder on the trainers, number on his top and on the sentiment.
My son loved it!
