Finally some time to create!!

Hi all

What another hectic week BUT the sun is shining, the kids have gone to school without coats for the first time this year and best of all I have a day OFF!!!! Whoohoo!!

It has took me all week to make this easel card box/drawer with only half an hour here and there spare for crafting, but I am really pleased that I have finally finished it and I actually am pleased with how it turned out. I got the courage to make my first one of these from Crafts and Me whose challenge is "anything but a card" also the same challenge over at One Stitch at a Time (sorry not had time to enter recently)!!

I followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness which I loved using, as a side dish they are also asking you to share something BBQ related, LOL< I have shared a picture of my husband and a couple of the kids below enjoying the fire pit BBQ when we were camping last summer!!

Of course the image is Sweet Pea which I stamped with Memento ink, paper pieced part of the dress which is the challenge over at Sweet Pea stampers. I coloured the rest using promarkers and am entering it into the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ‘fantasy/mythology’. I stamped the Basic Grey butterfly onto some scrap background paper which I made a while ago whilst messing around with various inks LOL and as the challenge this month over at Sir Stampalot is "Butterflies and Blossoms" I am entering into this challenge which I was lucky enough to come 2nd in last months (still doing happy dance from then hehe. I stickled the body of the butterfly to add some bling.

New home card

One of my collegaues has just bought a house and was moving in over this weekend, so I thought this card would bring some sunshine into her new home amidst all the mayhem of cardboard boxes!!

I have followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness. The stamp was another freebie from Craft Stamper magazine, don't they have great freebies which you can actually use! This is my 2nd DT card for Creative Craft World, the challenge this week is all about Prima flowers! The flowers are Prima e-line, I think I need some more of these as I love the little dotty ones!

The papers are the gorgeous DCWV Nana's Nursery cardstock, I have had this pack for ages but HATE cutting it!! How sad is that? Is it just a me thing or a crafters thing?

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - Charming (the key is a manmade (well woman made) charm
Raise the Bar - Movie (Home Alone)

Sweet Pea challenge

Hi all

Wow, absolutely loving the Sweet Pea stamps and the Ching Chou Kuik stamps, they are seriously gorgeous! I received them yesterday from Crafts and Me who are the only UK stockists - incidentally super fast service and really lovely ladies who run the store! I only placed the order late Monday night and they were here on Wednesday, if you are like me and turn into Craftzilla when waiting for crafty stuff to arrive you definitely need to check out their website. Within an hour of getting in from work I had inked both of my new stamps up LOL, usually my poor stamps stay neglected in the packet for months before they get even a whiff of ink LOL, but THESE are sooo amazing I had to play straight away!

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik's Dark Sirene stamp on my card, coloured her with promarkers and added some diamontes to the flowers in her hair. Ribbon from stash, Martha Stewart doily punch, stickles on butterflies, Sizzix Jelly frame and leaf punch. Papers are Papermania "Heather" and the gorgeous flowers are a mixture of silk flowers pulled apart from a fake bouquet and the large flower in the middle is the new Prima Symphony which I ordered from Creative Craft World

Prima Symphony Blend - Arietta Lilac

I have followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness - just love their sketches, especially as you get a choice of 2 to follow!

Sweet Pea Stampers challenge is "fairies at the bottom of the garden" and as a child I would imagine purple sparkly fairies LOL!

I am also entering into the following challenges:

Stampin for the Weekend - Ribbons and bows
One Stitch at a Time - Anything goes
