For the little people - Incy Wincy DT card

Hi all

Well today is my wedding anniversary and by the time this is on my blog we should be in sunny (well I live in hope) Edinburgh!!

This weeks challenge over on Incy Wincy Designs is For the little people - Make a card for a child or baby.

As you can see this is the other baby card I hinted about in yesterdays post. The super cute image is from Meljens who are our sponsors this week. The DT were given this cute teddy or an equally cute doggy to use on their projects. You wanna take a look on the challenge blog as the DT have done some amazing things with both images!

After colouring in the image which was a joy to colour I took a trip (well more like a click) over to Meljens to see what else was available I was there for ages in awe of the amazing images. The lucky challenge winner gets to win 4 of her amazing images!!!

Again I have used the Nana's Nursery card stock and would you beleive the brown paper is what they give you to wrap your purchases at IKEA haha, talk about recycling.

Cowgirls Recipe Challenge DT card

Another scheduled post from me today.... it's tough having to be organised LOL!

This week over on Cowgirls Sunday Stampen Challenge we have a 1-2-3 recipe for you to follow. The ingredients are 1 x Digital Image, 2 x Different Patterned Papers, 3 x Embellishments (can be different or all the same as long as there are only 3!).

For this weeks challenge I have made another baby card (not it is not a hidden message that I am expecting LOL got that seen to a couple of years ago haha) using the gorgeous Rocking Horse digi stamp by the one and only CJ which you can buy from her new store.

As ever the image is coloured in using promarkers and I have used the Nana's Nursery cardstock again on this (they are from the girl stack but some of the papers are great for boys too). The 3 embellishments I have used are 2 buttons (obviously) and a little rocking horse charm.

My first Scrapbook layout - YIKES CCW DT

Hi all

Right now I should be packing for our trip to Edinburgh for our Wedding Anniversary.

Before I get onto the DT project just wanted to say thanks to the DT over at Daring Cardmakers as I won the "Boyzone" dare last week, yay!!

Well anyone in crafty land who knows me knows I have long wanted to create a scrapbook layout and how much of a HUGE phobia I have had about actually sitting down and doing one... Well, no more as I have now officially created my first ever layout to celebrate Fathers Day which is the challenge over on Creative Craft World and how EXCITING as the sponsor is none other than American Crafts whoohooo!!

It wasn't as bad as I thought simply because Lou from Creative Craft World sent some gorgeous Cherryarte Basic Blue papers in my DT kit! She is selling them and loads of other stuff at amazing prices as she is having a relocation sale.

Lou went away before I had chance to finish my DT project so it will be on the challenge blog on Tuesday. The challenge is for a scrapbook layout which can be any of the following sizes 6x6, 8x8, 8.5x11 or 12x12. So if like me you need a little push to enter the world of scrapping then this is the ideal opportunity!!

The photos are from last weekend when the weather was scorching (a dim and distant memory now as it is peeing down today) when we spent a lovely afternoon at Formby Point.

Happy Birthday Sabrina!

Hi all

Thought I'd try one of the shaped easel cards using my scallops nestie for my niece Sabrina who is 14 today (same birthday as my brother!).

This cute Tilda is from my Creative Craft World DT partner Choccy (thanks hun)! I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and blinged up her shoes and accessories with glamour dust. I haven't used any patterned papers for a change but used Core'dinations white wash which I ran through the Big Shot using the cuttlebug embossing folder. Flowers are a mixture of prima and one I made using some handmade papers!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Cute card Thursday - No designer papers
Charisma Cardz - Going round in circles
Cards and Me - Distressed

Game on!

Hi all

I have used the amazing Game On image by Mo Manning. This image is perfect for teens or men who are into gaming! I made this for my younger brother as it is just perfect for him, the house could fall down around him whilst he has a joy pad in his hand haha!

I coloured the image using Promarkers and it was a dream to colour in too! Papers and brads are Boxer by Basis Grey. Used the label and scalloped nesties. The sentiment is computer generated. I followed this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers.

I am also entering into the following challenges:

Mo Manning - What's love got to do with it?
Daring Cardmakers - Boyzone which has some amazing images for the winner and is sponsored this week by Charmed Cards and Crafts

Penny Black - Lots of Dots!

Hi all

I have made this card as a RAK for someone I don't know. It is following a request from a crafter called Lisa She is arranging a special event for her sister Jayme who sadly has terminal lung cancer and is only 50.

To cheer her up Lisa is asking fellow crafters to create a card (details on Lisa's blog).

I have used this cute Penny Black image and coloured it with Distress inks. Papers are MME Spring collection. Flowers are prima and punched. Ribbon and small flowers are from my stash.

I am entering into the following challenges:

Penny Black Saturday - LOTS OF DOTS
Friday Sketchers - Sketch

Button it!!! - Incy Wincy DT card

What a gorgeous weekend we have just had here in the UK! A few days running of glorious sunshine. We even managed a day at the beach yesterday and had a lovely picnic, my milk bottle skin feels so much better for having a bit of sun on it.

Another start to the week means another challenge over at Incy Wincy and this weeks challenge is sponsored by Sponsored by Incy Wincy - prize is $10 voucher to the Aspire to Thrive store!

This week we got to work with some of the amazing 3D designs from Aspire to Thrive store. I chose this cute giraffe and just used the regular image and coloured it in myself with promarkers, however you have a choice of a precoloured image or one you can decoupage!!! Take a look there is something there for every occasion!

The challenge this week is to use buttons on your creations, I used some cutie heat and flower ones I won in a challenge. The papers are basic Grey and border punched with Martha Stewart heart punch. The sentiment was created in Word, flowers are prima and brad from stash.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Basic Grey - Punch it!
Allsorts - Tag or label

Anniversary card

Hi all

Trying to get ahead of myself this week as we are away next weekend in Edinburgh for our anniversary.

I have followed the sketch over at Mo's Dream Team who are looking for a guest designer for June. I have used one of Mo's fab images, just love this one which is Jack and Ginger and hope we look that cute when we are their age LOL!!

I have used K&Co papers and the image is coloured with promarkers. I have a confession to make.... the first image I printed out and coloured in I errrr made a booboo on the gravel, so in order to fix it I printed it out again and decoupaged the clothes, not a bad repair job if I do say so myself haha!

Finally some time to create!!

Hi all

What another hectic week BUT the sun is shining, the kids have gone to school without coats for the first time this year and best of all I have a day OFF!!!! Whoohoo!!

It has took me all week to make this easel card box/drawer with only half an hour here and there spare for crafting, but I am really pleased that I have finally finished it and I actually am pleased with how it turned out. I got the courage to make my first one of these from Crafts and Me whose challenge is "anything but a card" also the same challenge over at One Stitch at a Time (sorry not had time to enter recently)!!

I followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness which I loved using, as a side dish they are also asking you to share something BBQ related, LOL< I have shared a picture of my husband and a couple of the kids below enjoying the fire pit BBQ when we were camping last summer!!

Of course the image is Sweet Pea which I stamped with Memento ink, paper pieced part of the dress which is the challenge over at Sweet Pea stampers. I coloured the rest using promarkers and am entering it into the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ‘fantasy/mythology’. I stamped the Basic Grey butterfly onto some scrap background paper which I made a while ago whilst messing around with various inks LOL and as the challenge this month over at Sir Stampalot is "Butterflies and Blossoms" I am entering into this challenge which I was lucky enough to come 2nd in last months (still doing happy dance from then hehe. I stickled the body of the butterfly to add some bling.

Belles n Whistles wishing well

Hi all

I inked this up over the weekend but never had chance to play boohoo!

Really loved the look of the sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week so that was the layout sorted.

The stamp is one of the new Belles n Whistles releases called Wishing Well and is available at Crafts and Me which as I mentioned on previous posts give you top class customer service!

I have coloured the image in promarkers, papers are from Nana's Nursery. I am getting a bit pathetic with this stack now as I only have a couple of a few of my favourite sheets left and am nearly crying when I am cutting it!! Think I need to book myself into therapy LOL. Flowers are a mixture of prima, eline prima and some from my stash.

I have followed the Passion for Promarkers colour combo of Strawberries and Cream, I was going to use the strawberry cardstock but it was just the wrong shade of pinks!

The photo looks a bit washed out as I finished it when it was just going dark so I will try and take a better picture in the morning!

I am entering into the following challenges:

Stampavie and more - pink

STOP PRESS!! Another bit of exciting news...

I made the top 5 on Allsorts challenge following the wonderful sketch by Amanda. I had entered the easel card I made as my DT card for Creative Craft Worlds easel card challenge!!

Over the moon.... off to place my badge on my sidebar hehe!

Blast from the past! DT card and some good news!

Hi all

Well I can't believe it is Monday again, the weekend whizzed by in a frenzied deep cleaning marathon and ironing challenge, wanted to get on top of the housework and was going great guns until my daughter started being sick in the afternon and the poor thing is still not able to keep anything down :-(

I had some great news last week when I made the top 3 at I love promarkers!! I was so excited but haven't had chance until now to post about it on my blog! Thanks ladies for picking my Sweet Pea card, I am so honoured and will wear my badge with pride ;-)

Incy Wincy challenge was very quiet this week in comparison to last weeks mega entries, however the ones who did enter this week were of a gorgeously high standard, so thanks for all of you who entered... I think it was the cake which was the culprit!!

Today brings a new challenge and we have an amazing sponsor who gave the DT 2 amazing images to create with some of the DT used the Sock Hop Sweetie which reminds me of Grease (the movie) so go and have a look over at the challenge blog to see different variations of the same stamps!

The sponsor is no other than:

There are some seriously gorgeous and sassy images on there so check them out as and the winner gets to pick 4 digi images!

I used the Hippy Chic which as you can see is a fun and funky gal and I think she looks stoned! I paper pieced her top and trousers and coloured the hair and skin using promarkers. The papers I received in a swap ages ago and always wondered what I would use them for (you know what I mean I am sure hehe) but they were perfect for a hippy card, in fact all the embellishments were received in various swaps (the groovy bottle top was from my friend Jude (thanks hun).

I hope you can come over and join us this week as I and the rest of the DT really love seeing all the different interpretations of a theme.

Creative Craft World DT easel card

Gosh it is that time again, where is the time flying to?

I have made this easel card for the challenge over at Creative Craft World and this challenge is to make.... yep you guessed it, an easel card. Just in case you have never made one before I have put a step by step tutorial over on the challenge blog and I have also put it on the tutorial page.

Before posting the tutorial my 6 year old daughter tested it out and here is what she made, I think you will agree it is FAB!!! I am so proud, well done Safiyyah Rose!! Obviously if she managed to make this (with very little help from me as she is stubborn and would only let me unjam the Martha Stewart punch, can't think where she gets her stubborn streak from) then it should be easy to follow!

The image is "Ole Grey Mare" Digi Stamp from Stitchy Bear Stamps and with its little plasters is FAB for a get well card, I coloured the image with promarkers. Papers are Basic Grey “Lemonade” and I made the little "flags" using scraps - one of the flags is a bit wonky on this picture but I have sorted it out on the card LOL!

I followed Amanda's' sketch over at Allsorts and got the inspiration from the Basic Grey challenge which this week is a photo inspiration.

Sweet Pea Stampers sketch

A quicky card today as I am in the middle of doing a DT project for this weekend! Had a hectic week at work and home so just wanted to relax and what better way than to make a card with one of the gorgeous Sweet Pea stamps?

I followed the sketch over at Sweet Pea Stampers (loved this sketch by the way)

Image is Ching Chou Kuik's A Thousand Years Waiting coloured in with Promarkers, Martha Stewart punch, papers from my stash and unfortunately I don't know who makes them, flowers from stash, black ones are punched.

Hopefully the parcel sitting waiting for me to collect from the sorting office is from Crafts and Me with another Sweet Pea stamp and some Belles and Whistles stamps - just hope I get time to play this weekend!

Once again my photo looks wonky so please excuse my poor photography skills I am convinced I much hold the camera at a peculiar angle but as the light is fading here I haven't got time to take another piccy - nothing to say that would be an improvement though LOL!!

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Sparkle (on the flowers with Glamour Dust)
I love promarkers - Wings (butterfly in her hair)

Just Magnolia sketch for Simon Says Blog Hop

This card seems to have took ages for me to make, well I started it on Sunday and only just managed to find the time to put it together today! As my 2 youngest have been off school ill I've had no time for crafting, I even ended up having to work from home yesterday wading through a mountain of paper (sadly not crafting paper).

For this card I followed Bev's gorgeous sketch over on Just Magnolia, this is one sketch I will use again and again.
I coloured Tilda in with promarkers then glamour dusted her sparkly shoes. The papers are K & Co Bailey, the large flower on the right is one of the new Primas already sparkled and glittered from Creative Craft World

With all the sparkle what better way to celebrate?? Thats exactly what Simon Says is doing on their blog hop - celegrating 1 year of blogingness!

WOJ money card

It has been a while since I managed to join in the WOJ challenge to make a money card or gift card and as it was my sisters birthday this was the ideal opportunity.

I made the card from an A4 sheet as I wanted the flap to be part of the card and not as an "add on".

Papers are Basic Grey Lemonade, flowers are a mixture of prima, punched and accumulated unknown stash! The fastener thingy (technical term) is Papermania and image coloured in with promarkers.

First Incy Wincy DT card!!

Today's the day I make my debut DT appearance over on Incy Wincy Designs.

This weeks challenge is something for everyone with an "anything goes" theme so no excuses not to join in the fun!!

The new DT girls (and one boy LOL) have made some amazing cards using the digi stamps from our sponsors Squigglefly, go and check out the other DT creations as we were all given a different digi stamp to work with!

Sponsored by

The lucky challenge winner gets 3 digi images from Squigglefly!!! how cool is that?

The image I got to work with is called "A bird song" and can be bought from here where you can see this and loads of other amazing images!

I coloured her in using promarkers and I must say it was a real pleasure to colour as it is a very clearly defined image, you know how on some images you can't tell if it is meant to be hair or shoulder there was none of that with this one LOL!

Incy Wincy supports the South Australian charity "Aspire to Thrive" which raises money to help children in South Australia with getting help they need. They have a store which sells digi images for your crafting use (all profits go to charity). Why not have a look as you may find just the perfect image.

I used K & Co papers (Roam), the sentiment stamp is Hero Arts (Hello Birdie), the catch thingy (technical term as I can't remember the right word LOL) is papermania, flowers from my stash, leaves made with a punch. I softened the whiteness around the image with chalks.

Cowgirls DT card!

Well the first challenge starts today over on Cowgirls Sunday challenge here is the rest of my DT card which I gave you a little peek of yesterday! I coloured CJ's "Spring" image (she is making a new store which should be open in the next few days) with promarkers, not sure what the backing papers are as they were received in a stash swap! Flower from my stash and Martha Stewart doily punch.

The theme this week is Mothers Day or Spring - take your pick! I chose spring as we have already had Mothers Day here in the UK!
